1. Scope and Role
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit or use Marketwavz, create an account, configure market preferences, receive notifications, interact with AI-powered features, or otherwise communicate with or use the Service.
For personal data processed to provide Marketwavz directly to users, Marketwavz acts as the controller for purposes of the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
2. Personal Data We May Collect
2.1 Account and profile information
- Account identifiers such as your name or display name, username and login credentials or authentication identifiers.
- Contact information you choose to provide, such as an email address.
- Account settings, language, region and preferences.
2.2 Market and product preferences
- Markets, asset classes, economic events, securities or digital assets that you choose to follow.
- Notification preferences, watchlists, saved events, research preferences and other personalization settings.
- Investment goals, time horizon or risk preferences only if you voluntarily provide them through a feature that requests this information.
2.3 Portfolio-related information
If Marketwavz offers portfolio features and you choose to use them, we may process portfolio information such as asset names or symbols, quantities, allocation information, transaction-related information, cost basis or other information you enter or connect. We only process such information when needed to provide the feature you requested.
Marketwavz does not require you to provide brokerage credentials directly unless a clearly identified feature expressly requires a secure connection through a third-party provider. Where a third-party financial-data provider is used, its own privacy terms may also apply.
2.4 AI interactions and content
- Questions, prompts, instructions and other content you submit to AI-powered features.
- AI responses and related interaction metadata.
- Feedback you provide about AI responses or Marketwavz features.
2.5 Technical and usage information
- Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language and general device settings.
- IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps and diagnostic information.
- Pages or screens viewed, features used, clicks, session activity, notification interactions and performance or crash data.
- Security and fraud-prevention signals.
2.6 Payment information
If paid features are offered, payments may be processed by an external payment provider or app store. Marketwavz may receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, plan type, billing country and limited payment metadata, but does not need to store full payment-card details when those details are handled by the payment provider.
3. How We Collect Data
We may collect personal data directly from you, automatically when you use the Service, from devices or browsers you use, and from service providers that support authentication, payments, analytics, infrastructure, market-data delivery or other functionality you request.
We may also receive information from a third-party account or service when you deliberately connect that service to Marketwavz and authorize the relevant data sharing.
4. How We Use Personal Data
We may use personal data to:
- create, authenticate and maintain your account;
- provide, operate and personalize Marketwavz;
- show relevant economic events, market information, watchlists and research;
- generate AI-powered explanations, summaries and other requested analysis;
- send event alerts, push notifications and service communications you have enabled;
- remember settings and preferences across sessions;
- process subscriptions and administer paid features;
- measure product usage, reliability and performance;
- debug, maintain, secure and improve the Service;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents and violations of our Terms;
- respond to privacy requests, support requests and legal obligations; and
- develop and evaluate features using data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases depending on the processing activity:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide the Service or a feature you requested.
- Legitimate interests: for example, securing, maintaining, analyzing and improving the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Consent: where we ask for consent, including for certain cookies, marketing communications or other optional processing where consent is required.
- Legal obligation: processing necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements or valid legal requests.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
6. AI Features and User Content
Marketwavz may use artificial intelligence models and related service providers to generate explanations, summaries, research assistance and other product functionality. Information you submit to an AI-powered feature may be processed to generate the requested output.
AI systems can produce inaccurate or incomplete output. You should avoid submitting personal data that is not necessary for the feature you are using, and you should not submit highly sensitive information unless Marketwavz expressly states that a feature is designed to process it.
Where third-party AI infrastructure is used, we seek to configure and contract for its use in a manner appropriate to the Service. The exact providers and processing arrangements may change as the Service evolves.
We do not represent that AI interactions are confidential professional communications, and AI-generated market information does not constitute investment, financial, legal or tax advice.
7. Market Preferences, Watchlists and Portfolio-Related Data
Marketwavz may use the markets, assets, events and topics you follow to determine which information and notifications are most relevant to you. If portfolio features are enabled, portfolio-related information may similarly be used to personalize event relevance, research and market intelligence.
We do not sell your portfolio information or use it to execute trades on your behalf unless a separate execution feature is expressly introduced and you specifically choose to use it under separate applicable terms.
8. Notifications and Communications
If you enable push notifications or similar alerts, Marketwavz may send notifications about economic releases, central-bank events, market reactions, watchlist activity, account matters or other features you select.
You can generally control push notifications through Marketwavz settings and your device settings. Essential account, security, transactional or legal communications may still be sent where necessary.
Marketing communications, if offered, will be sent in accordance with applicable law and will include an appropriate way to opt out.
10. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may share personal data with carefully selected service providers when reasonably necessary to operate Marketwavz. These may include providers of cloud hosting, databases, authentication, AI infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, communications, push notifications, payments, market data and customer support.
Service providers may process personal data only for the purposes for which they are engaged and subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights, safety or security of users or the Service, in connection with a corporate transaction, or where you instruct or authorize us to do so.
Marketwavz does not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
11. International Data Transfers
Marketwavz may use service providers located in countries other than your own. Where personal data protected by the GDPR is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we use an applicable transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognized safeguard.
The location of individual technical service providers may change over time. Appropriate safeguards are applied according to the nature of the processing and applicable law.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide your account and requested features, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of data, the feature involved and applicable legal requirements. When personal data is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymized or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.
Some information may remain for a limited period in secure backups or where retention is required for fraud prevention, accounting, legal claims or other legitimate legal purposes.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. Measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure infrastructure, logging, monitoring and restricted administrative access, as appropriate.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
14. Your GDPR and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request deletion of your personal data;
- request restriction of certain processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain personal data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to certain direct marketing; and
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
For users in the Netherlands, the competent supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. You may also contact another competent supervisory authority where applicable.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. Rights are not absolute and may be limited where applicable law permits or requires continued processing.
15. Account and Data Deletion
Where Marketwavz provides an account-deletion function, you may use it to request deletion of your account and associated personal data. You may also submit a privacy request through the privacy or support mechanism made available in the Service.
Deletion may not be immediate for all systems. Limited information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
16. Children
Marketwavz is not intended for children. The Service is intended for users who are legally permitted to use it under applicable law and, where financial-market features are involved, for users capable of understanding that market information involves financial risk.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children in circumstances where parental authorization would be required. If we learn that personal data has been collected contrary to applicable child-data rules, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
17. Automated Decision-Making
Marketwavz uses automated systems and AI to rank, summarize, personalize and explain market information. These systems are intended to assist with information and research. Marketwavz does not use these features to make legally binding decisions about you or decisions that similarly produce significant legal effects, unless expressly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
18. Financial Information and Sensitive Data
Marketwavz is not intended to function as a repository for unnecessary sensitive personal data. Please do not provide health information, government identification numbers, passwords, private keys, seed phrases, full payment-card details or other highly sensitive information unless a specific secure feature expressly requests it.
Never submit cryptocurrency private keys or wallet seed phrases to Marketwavz.
19. Third-Party Links and Services
Marketwavz may link to or integrate with third-party websites, market-data providers, brokers, exchanges, app stores or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to a third party.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Marketwavz evolves, applicable law changes or our processing practices change. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent before material changes take effect.
21. Contact and Privacy Requests
Questions, privacy requests and data-protection inquiries may be submitted through the privacy, support or account-contact mechanism made available within Marketwavz.
This temporary public version intentionally does not publish a personal email address or physical address. Required legal and controller contact information should be added before a broader public or commercial launch where applicable law requires it.
